パズルボブル Puzzle Bobble 3 for the arcade (one credit keyboard play)

Someone had in good spirits challenged me to do a one credit run for My Favorite Game, and so using my favorite character (a King ripoff but she’s so uncharacteristically cheerful and optimistic) I simply answered his challenge. And despite some incredible incidents of misfiring, I still managed to conclude this bubble-blasting game with one miserable token.

Yeah. I dislike the pulley system in the 4th game. Part 3 is more easygoing and fun.

True. I hate the pulley system, especially when it just rocks back and forth and you have to aim different everytime.

Ahh! I swear the pulley system makes me think of how hard AP Physics is. I’m like working on Newton’s laws and forces right now. F=ma, W=mg, etc. It looks simple, but the class forces you to do so many substitutions, it’s annoying.

Yup. This is still my favorite video from you yet. And I could never figure out how the point system works for the Puzzle Bobble games, cuz you are the master!

Dude, imagine how funny it would be if someone did a live demo of this game and a live Orchestra was doing the background music and they had to constantly change their tempo depending on how close the player was to getting a game over. lol

Thanks. Puzzle Bobble 3 does have its charm, despite its mostly generic characters.

And the pulley system seemed unpredictable too, which is not good.

Pause at 21:47. I don’t know who does the artwork for this game, but they did the little dragons way differently than how they look in Puzzle Bobble 2 and Puzzle Bobble 4…

    Maybe it’s just me…

One other thing, was this game ever released in America in the arcade only?

Yeah, I’ve looked into that. They looked kind of different.

For this game, there is also a US English language release for the Sega Saturn.

After watching your Bust-A-Move Again and Bust-A-Move 3 videos, I think I like the music and sound effects in this game better…

I see, this is also my favorite Bust-A-Move game, though I find 2 to be just as fun and more challenging as well.

You know, for some reason, that character you’re using reminds me a lot of James from Team Rocket. It must be the blue hair and the rose.

You do realise Jack (your fave character) is a guy, right? It’s just your description says “she’s”. He takes his shirt off in his ending and does a sorta model pose with a rose in his mouth… if you knew already, that’s cool. :P

Of course I do. It was a tying error in my video description. I will correct it now.
