I love most of games from Taito. Bubble Bobble was one of the first games from them I played in my life. Its a shame it was never released on the SNES or the Megadrive (guess it would be a waste of graphic power). Then the series took on a different angle, the puzzle aproach, and this original outing that spawned so many sequels, is still today as playable as ever. I don’t have a single girl friend that does not like this game.

Original Air Date: June 26th, 2009 This is the Japanese version of Bust-a-Move Pocket that was released in the US, but is PBM in Japan and European territories. We own the Japanese version of this game complete (mainly for the cool box), but it’s generally identical to the US game. We put up a video for this one simply because, well, we could. If someone wants to see a video for the US game, just let us know, though there is no real difference. Otherwise, we’ll make one later. To be honest, I think this game could’ve been a lot better of a conversion than it is. It’s slow (the speed you’re seeing is the actual speed, which was unaffected by the drop to 30fps), the graphics aren’t that good, and the music is only so-so. When I’ve played decent/good conversions of simple games like Pac-man, Puyo Pop, and Magical Drop, this game seems very lacking. The fun is still there, but I don’t play this much even on my real NGPC. Enjoy. Video Notes: No big deal with this one. Slightly slower sound like the rest, but with no other real problems in this video. Emulates well and is close to the real deal, which makes it suitable to present in this fashion versus recording off the handheld with even some of the best cameras.
